This video documents the Damba festival, an ancient ritual of the Dagomba people of northern Ghana. This video highlights the 11th day of the Damba celebration and features the procession of the paramount chief, dance drummers of Damba, and the chief of fiddlers at Ya Naa's Palace. KWAMIVI TSEGAH'S FUNERAL

This video documents the funeral of Kwamivi Tsegah, a respected elder in Anyako village, Ghana. The video features a variety of Ewe dance drumming performances including "Afli," "Afa," and "Axatsevu." In the video you will also see the wakekeeping, funeral services, and entertainment for the funeral provided by Balimba Ballete, a dance drumming group from No Man's Land. This video features Husunu Ladzekpo's Durbar, a celebration commemorating the 30th anniversary of his death. In this video, you will see traditional Ewe dance drumming, which includes "Gadzo," "Axatsevu," and "Agbekor." PITRA YADNYA: BALINESE DEATH RITUALS

This video features the traditional Balinese death rituals. In the first section, you will see the exhumation of 11 people from the village cemetary. The bodies are then prepared for the cremation, which takes place in the second part of the video. The cremation ritual documents the cremation tower and procession, offerings and blessings from the head village priest and the burning of the remains in the fiinal stage of cremation which represents the freeing of the soul for reincarnation.
